A First Alert for Sunday, as a cold front is projected to slide across the region. That front will bring our next round of rain and storms to the area, with a few showers continuing into Monday morning. Damaging wind, hail, lightning and heavy rain are the primary threats with this storm system. The tornado threat is low but not zero.

FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY - SUNDAY: The stormy weather to our west will eventually shift eastward on Sunday. Saturday will be another hot day, with gusty south winds. Rain and storms could reach our western counties after 7 p.m. Saturday. We’ll need to monitor this timeframe for the potential of strong to severe storms in the west.
