A Ninth Circuit ruling this week sides in favor of Epic Games, allowing its Android app store to be placed within the Google Play Store. It's been reported that Google will seemingly seek an appeal, potentially through the "full Ninth Circuit first."

The Epic Games Store on Android maintains your persistent status in games across platforms, and earlier this year, the company brought its weekly free games program to the mobile stores, too. It also has other Epic games, like Fall Guys and Rocket League Sideswipe.

Alphabet’s Google on Thursday failed to persuade a U.S. appeals panel to overturn a jury verdict and federal court order requiring the technology company to revamp its app store Play.
