Detroit police are searching for the person who fired shots during a gathering in the city’s east side Monday evening.

A Redford Township woman was shot and injured early Tuesday on Interstate 96 in Detroit, Michigan State Police said. Dispatchers received a call at about 12:15 a.m. reporting there was a gunshot victim at a McDonald's restaurant on Grand River Avenue near I-96, according to authorities.
