The Chicago Cubs hit eight home runs against the St. Louis Cardinals, setting a franchise record for most home runs in a game, while tying the MLB record for most home runs hit on the 4th of July.

Pete Crow-Armstrong and Michael Busch headlined a historic day against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday afternoon at Wrigley Field.

The Cubs set a franchise record with eight home runs in an 11-3 rout of the Reds on Friday, including three from first baseman Michael Busch.

After speaking with the media, Chicago Cubs team president Jed Hoyer has reiterated his plans for what the Cubs will do at the upcoming trade deadline.
