Colorado football coach Deion Sanders revealed July 28 that he was diagnosed with bladder cancer and had his bladder removed

Colorado coach Deion Sanders was away from the team over the offseason as he was treated for a cancerous tumor in his bladder, he announced during a press conference on Monday with his doctors. Coach Prime underwent surgery to remove the bladder and was found to be cured of the cancer.

It's been a few months since they've seen their coach after Sanders stepped away to deal with his health. He revealed Monday that doctors removed his bladder to ward off an aggressive form of cancer. He had a section of his intestine reconstructed to function as a bladder.
