We thought that they had more current portraits but they only had 1 wall. We had a quick look around and it was a nice clean building. Andrew Scott was called British but I'm pretty sure he's Irish.Full review by CalebTJ

Very good question and something that confused me. I've always attended the national gallery for free. The National Portrait Gallery has a free area but also paid exhibitions which I attended. They are separate from my knowledge but worth investigating if you can get a ticket that covers both to see all exhibitions - which makes sense
