We really enjoyed the concert, but it would have been even better if we'd chosen seats facing the orchestra. It's a fairly narrow venue, so all the seats along the side have very limited views (and …Full review by fartoomanyusers

It's touristy but fun. The conductor is lively and keeps the performance interactive and the orchestra is fabulous! Plus you get to experience a little bit of opera too!
If we only get to go to a concert at one of these, should we choose Wiener Staatsope or Musikverein?

They are both great, if you don't want to spend a lot of money then Musikverein is a great choice because it's a beautiful theatre with great acoustics and you get to be where Mozart performed. Plus they have a symphony and some opera too. But Staatsoper is also a wonderful experience and is a must if you like opera because this is prob the best opera you will ever experience.
