Palisade is a village in Hayes and Hitchcock counties in the U.S. state of Nebraska. The population was 294 at the 2020 census. Palisade was established at its current site in 1882, when the railroad was extended to that point. It was named from the terrain around the town, which was thought to resemble a palisade.
