It was originally a defensive fortification of the ancient city of Warsaw. Now there is a small exhibition hall inside which some old pictures of Warsaw are displayed, from which we can see that Poland's fate has gone through many ups and downs. The whole visit can take about 30 minutes. No entrance fee.
