Worth a visit. Main art collection is ok for a walk through for non Spanish visitors, but we found a great photo exhibition as we were leaving. Entrance free, modern interior.Full review by RQL
I'm thinking of spending an hour or two at this museum in the morning, and I'm wondering what I can do afterwards that's in the near vicinity (i.e. walking distance)? Prefer something low-key, like shopping, a lookout or a park or another smallish museum or gallery or anything else that's worth seeing for the first time visitor to Mad. I guess my ideal would be an attraction that's close by, to limit time spent moving around, as only have four days in Mad. thanks, Art

The archives building often has small but interesting exhibits and is not too far from the museum.
Will be in Madrid in a couple of weeks. We speak very little Spanish ... do the exhibits have explanations in English or at least a something we can rent that plays an audio in English? Thanks! Jonathan

I speak very little Spanish and thought this museum awesome! not every display is in English, but the majority are.
